Climbing mountains. Master descents with confidence. The SID Ultimate is not like other XC suspension forks. It's lighter than ever and has an impressive 35 mm chassis that holds its line when you're riding at the limit. The new Race Day 2 damping has a three-position (3P) compression stage - from the rigid "Lock" to the comfortable "Open" to the efficient "Pedal" position. The SID adapts to everything from full-throttle cross-country to sporty touring thanks to a new, more voluminous DebonAir+ spring that is supple at the top end of its travel and offers plenty of adjustment options.

The magic number. Cross Country is all about efficiency, because efficiency means control. And more control means more options. This is provided by the Charger shocks with the"3-Position" system (3P), which allows you to switch between the"Open","Lock" and"Pedal" settings during the race. Extensive tests, in which XC champ Nino Schurter was also involved, have shown that the"Pedal" function in particular offers advantages in cross-country use. While the "Lock" position shows its strengths during fast starts and sprints as well as longer climbs on dirt tracks, the"Open" setting is intended for the demanding descents of today's XC routes. The "Pedal" function is dedicated to the terrain in between, combining efficiency with comfort, traction and control to master difficult climbs or fast, flowing singletrack.

Pump up the volume. The SID has already made a name for itself as an XC fork that likes it a little rougher. And with the DebonAir+ suspension, it is even more tunable than ever before. Whether you want a firmer setup or a more comfortable ride, the pressure adjustment makes a noticeable difference to the support in the mid-stroke range. Regardless of the setting, the supple feel in the upper range is neither lost nor is the maximum utilization of the suspension travel impaired. More traction, control and comfort make the SID unbeatable on any track or trail.

Stronger than ever. The current SID suspension forks not only have longer stanchions to increase the volume of the positive and negative air spring chambers and thus offer almost limitless tunability. The extension of the stanchions also allows the upper and lower bushings to overlap completely, which means less friction and longer durability. No less impressive is the lightweight fork crown milled from aluminum. This crowning achievement ensures that the SID remains beautifully slim without compromising steering precision. The finishing touch is a mixture of the well-known Maxima Plush Dynamic Suspension Lube developed especially for the current SID model series. Developed in collaboration with the leading experts in high-performance lubrication, the gold medal formula not only keeps the suspension fresh for longer, but also ensures that the internal components function smoothly at all temperatures.

DebonAir+ | An important prerequisite for improving the suspension was additional air volume. The DebonAir+ system offers 50% more negative volume and 16% more positive volume, changing the suspension curve to allow each rider to find the perfect setup for their riding style and current terrain. While a 10 psi reduction in air pressure benefits comfort, 10 psi more provides better support. The initial suspension travel is also noticeably smoother, thanks to a larger negative air volume and a new top-out spring. The steel spring is used instead of a rubber buffer and ensures comfort and traction at the start of compression.

Maxima Plush Dynamic | The Maxima Plush Dynamic Suspension Lube is characterized by its friction-reducing effect. In addition, the lubricant has impressive properties that not only extend the durability of the fork, but also improve its performance.
