Shimano's advanced brake levers with Saint ICE Technologies feature shorter, more ergonomic grips that offer tool-free grip adjustment and an adjustable pressure point for ultra-customization. The disc brake system features a brake calliper with counter-rotating double pistons. The front pistons have a different diameter to the rear pistons. The system uses a power transmission technique in which the small pistons grip the incoming disk and the stronger, larger pistons grip the outgoing disk. This reduces brake disk flutter and makes the brake significantly quieter. The four-piston brake calliper increases the contact surface with the brake disk, while its size remains compact. The position of the pads is precisely adjusted to stabilize the pressure. In addition, in combination with the SERVO WAVE brake lever, an incredible 50 % more braking force is achieved than with the previous model. The advanced SAINT/ZEE disc brake system can be adapted to the rider's braking habits and generates a consistent, highly controllable braking force.
