The Shimano SM-RT86 is a two-piece brake rotor for 6-hole hubs that guarantees very high performance thanks to Ice Tech. It combines stainless steel flanks with an aluminum core, which ensures long durability and superior heat dissipation at the same time. Its high heat resistance benefits the entire brake caliper, reduces fading and noise and also increases the service life of the pads. SM-RT86 also impresses with its dirt-repellent design and low weight. It is compatible with sintered and organic brake pads. Use this brake rotor with XT, Saint, SLX, Deore and many other disc brakes.
With Ice-Tech cooling technology, the SM-RT86 brake rotor ensures constant braking performance even on longer descents. The brake rotor is characterized by a three-layer sandwich construction. Its stainless steel flanks with an aluminum core offer significantly improved heat dissipation. This allows the temperature to be reduced by around 100 °C. The self-cleaning design also extends the service life of the washer and lining.
Fastening screws are already included in the scope of delivery. Small shims are also included, which should be placed underneath to prevent loosening.

Shimano Ice-Technologies ensure rapid heat dissipation from your disc brake. The brake pads are equipped with aluminum cooling fins. The brake disc is constructed using sandwich technology, in which stainless steel surrounds an aluminum core. The stainless steel on both sides ensures a long service life, while the aluminum ensures heat dissipation. -
