The PowerLock® chain link comes with FLOW LINK™ technology with ultra-smooth inner plates for better chain guidance and a longer service life.

The ultra-smooth inner plates of the chain are completely free of edges. This reduces friction on the cassette and chainring. The result: low-noise performance and a longer component life. The chain design enables a narrower profile. This makes the chain more torsion-resistant. Thanks to its smoother outer plates, the riveting is more even and the tensile strength is higher.
PowerLock:
SRAM's chain engineers developed PowerLock as a tool-free, secure and consistent way to connect SRAM chains. Although PowerLock does not require any special tools for assembly, the narrow tolerance range of a 10-, 11- and 12-speed drivetrain means that each PowerLock can only be used once.
