The GX Eagle chain was designed according to the SRAM Eagle geometry and features full pins, Eagle PowerLock® and offers smooth, efficient shifting that you can rely on every time you ride.
Although many think it's just an insignificant part of the drivetrain, the GX Eagle™ chain is the heart of the drivetrain system. It is the chain links designed according to the SRAM Eagle™ geometry that make the massive gear range of 500% possible. In fact, the Eagle™ rear derailleur, the chainrings, the cassette and even the gearshift were developed to work perfectly with the chain. Anything else would be a compromise in terms of performance, reliability and durability.

- The unique design and special details have significantly reduced wear on the cassette and chainring.
- The GX Eagle™ chain has the same chain link geometry and was manufactured using the same processes as the XX1 and X01 Eagle™ chains. This also makes it the ideal replacement chain for XX1 and X01 riders.
Flow Link™:
The ultra-smooth inner plates of the chain are completely free of edges. This reduces friction on the cassette and chainring. The result: low-noise performance and a longer component service life. The chain design enables a narrower profile. This makes the chain more torsion-resistant. Thanks to its smoother outer plates, the riveting is more even and the tensile strength is higher.
PowerLock®:
SRAM's chain engineers developed PowerLock® as a tool-free, secure and consistent way to connect SRAM chains. Although PowerLock® does not require any special tools for installation, the narrow tolerance range of a 10-, 11- and 12-speed drivetrain means that each PowerLock® can only be used once.
X-Sync 2™:
X-Sync 2™ Eagle is the latest development in SRAM X-Sync™ technology. The tooth profile of the chainring increases chain tension and efficiency when pedaling. The service life of the chainring is longer, as the X-Sync™ Eagle technology reduces friction and contamination.
