The Zipp 454 NSW Tubeless for disc brakes is the ultimate wheelset for road racing. This wheel delivers everything the performance-oriented cyclist demands. It is aerodynamically efficient and stable in all wind conditions. In addition, a wider rim for lower pressure tubeless tires has been developed to reduce rolling resistance and vibration losses, so you lose as little energy as possible on the road. This wheel is optimized for 25 mm tubeless tires for maximum speed. The 454 NSW features Zipp's most advanced technologies. The wavy 58mm Sawtooth rim shape with hyperfoils is our most aerodynamic and stable wheel. The 454 NSW features Zipp's Total System Efficiency (TSE), our approach to combating the biggest speed enemies: wind resistance, gravity, rolling resistance and vibration loss. The 454 NSW Tubeless for disc brakes are approximately one pound (more than 400 grams) lighter than their predecessors! The use of hookless (straight) rims in the 454 NSW is an essential part of "Making You Faster". With hookless, the transition between tire and rim is more seamless and aerodynamic. Zipp's hookless rims have more efficient resin distribution, which means lighter and stronger wheels. An outdoor test commissioned by Zipp has shown the advantages of the Zipp TSE in practice. With the new 454 NSW with 25 mm tires, a complete system of rider and wheel weighing 85 kg requires 278 watts to maintain a speed of 40 km/h. This is a saving of 10 watts. This is a saving of 10 watts compared to the predecessor model 454 NSW. At the heart of the 454 NSW is the Cognition V2 hubset, which has been redesigned with an updated Axial Clutch V2 mechanism for faster engagement, reduced friction and improved durability.
