With the M99 Mini Pro from Supernova, you can mount the revolution in lighting technology on your bike! The highly developed headlight, which is suitable for e-bikes with speeds of up to 25 km/h, now also provides high beam for bikes in addition to the low beam. Thanks to Supernova's professional know-how, the additional light intensity significantly increases safety. During the bike tour itself, for example, hanging branches can be illuminated and peripheral elements can also be lit up. At the end of the evening ride, you can switch the high beam to low beam and ride through traffic without any problems. The 1,150 lumens of the high beam are achieved using a patented matrix of 10 LEDs from the automotive industry. The M99 Mini Pro is designed to be 50 % smaller and 40 % lighter.

  • Supernova high beam: Supernova is the first manufacturer to launch an approved high beam for bicycles. High beam has been one of the most important innovations in the bicycle lighting industry since the new legal situation. In addition to the literal range, high beam offers enormous illumination and increases the safety factor many times over. For the first time, approved bicycle lights provide illumination for unclear terrain, where the cyclist can see overhanging branches, signs, junctions and poorly visible pedestrians more quickly - no matter how steep and winding the trail! Our Supernova high beam has an extremely wide beam angle. This ensures excellent perception of the surroundings, which is what makes the other advantages described below possible in the first place.
  • The advantage of high beam for cornering illumination: Supernova uses a special high beam with an extra-wide beam angle, which ensures improved illumination above the main light cone in particular, which means that signs and, for example, hanging branches are illuminated much better. This also improves cornering illumination immensely! With standard headlights that only have a dipped beam function, the dipped beam tilts to the side when cornering, so that an important part of the bend is no longer illuminated. The greatly increased luminosity of the Supernova high beam, on the other hand, shines far beyond the glare horizon and illuminates the bend. This results in much better illumination of the road when cornering and therefore an enormous increase in safety for the cyclist.
  • High beam compensates for the suspension fork dipping: The problem is particularly well known with MTBs: These often have long suspension travel, which dips especially when braking, so that the headlight range is sometimes reduced by up to 90 %. Supernova's special high beam is optimized to provide a particularly large amount of light above the cut-off line, so that fork movement is compensated for and visibility of the trail is maintained. On the approach to the trail in the city, you can ride glare-free in low beam mode. As soon as required, the high beam can be switched on at the touch of a button.
  • M99 Matrix Mirror: The future is now! Based on scientific research by the Light Technology Institute at KIT and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, the M99 introduced a lighting technology that sets completely new standards in bicycle lighting: an LED matrix, intelligently controlled and combined with a highly complex multi-faceted mirror consisting of 99 individually calculated surfaces and designed for unprecedented brilliance. After years of development, it was thus possible for the first time to pack highly powerful automotive technology into the miniature format of a bicycle headlight.
  • Aluminum housing: Supernova relies on aerospace aluminum for the housings because it is not only super-stable, but also has the best heat conduction properties. The better the cooling, the brighter the LED. Cooling fins on the housings increase the surface area, allowing heat to be dissipated more effectively. The housings are also anodized to be salt-water resistant and can withstand the most adverse conditions. Extreme tests in all seasons and climatic zones by ultra-cycling athletes who ride with Supernova lighting prove the outstanding reliability and durability.
  • LED cooling: Supernova's credo is maximum performance with the best possible efficiency. The enormous brightness values of their headlamp systems can only be achieved through sophisticated cooling of the high-performance LEDs. This is because the better an LED is cooled, the brighter it shines. The service life is also greatly extended by good cooling. The most important prerequisites for ideal heat dissipation include a careful choice of materials and a sophisticated design. Completely uninterrupted heat dissipation, for example, can only be achieved with a housing made seamlessly from a single piece of aluminum. In extreme situations, an integrated heat sensor also keeps the headlamp within the optimum temperature range at all times. Supernova's engineers use computationally intensive computer simulations to find the most suitable way to dissipate the heat from the LEDs in advance. Supernova's more than 20 years of experience with LED spotlights comes into its own here.
