Shimano has designed this directional 10-speed chain especially for E-bikes due to the higher speeds and therefore higher stress on the components. The Sil-Tec surface coating offers the rider almost resistance-free shifting pleasure. Shift up and down the gears almost without resistance and silently.

You should always keep an eye on the condition of the chain, especially on e-bikes. Use a chain gauge to regularly check whether the chain has become too long. If the chain is replaced in good time, the cassette and chainrings will also last longer.

Priced in the entry-level range, the current Shimano Deore groupsets are not prepared to compromise in terms of performance, quality and reliability. Almost everything that distinguishes the larger siblings in terms of technology, innovation, performance and range of functions can also be found in the Deore components.

The Shimano STePS CN-E6090-10 chain was specially developed for use on E-bikes. The 10-speed chain has a reinforced design and is more efficient, quieter and requires less maintenance thanks to SIL-TEC surface treatment.

The Shimano CN-E6090 is a special, directional HG-X chain for E-bikes with 10-speed gears. Please note that the chain is only intended for 1x drivetrains.
