Its one-piece mono-body design not only makes the Shimano Dura Ace BR-R9270 brake caliper incredibly light, but also gives it outstanding stiffness values. At the same time, the flatmount brake made from a single, cold-forged aluminum block proves that high performance is also possible with compact dimensions.

Increasing the brake pad spacing by 10 % also enables a significant reduction in noise during braking. If the RT-MT900 brake disk (available separately) is also used, its deformation-resistant design contributes to an extremely quiet and smooth braking system, even with increasing heat development.

To simplify maintenance, the hydraulic 2-piston brake calliper not only has the tried-and-tested one-way bleeding system, but also a separate bleed nipple and bleed screw arrangement. On the one hand, this minimizes the risk of the bleeding kit hose slipping off when opening or closing the system and, on the other hand, makes it unnecessary to remove the brake calliper from the frame for the bleeding process.
