The 11-speed SLX rear derailleur is in no way inferior to the XT rear derailleur in terms of function and shifting performance, with the only drawback being the slightly higher weight.
Like its big brother from Shimano's top range, it always delivers fast and smooth shifting. With the revised Shadow+ technology, the pre-tension of the chain can be adjusted in two stages using a small lever on the rear derailleur. This allows you to decide whether the chain should run more smoothly with less chain tension, or whether it needs to be tightened for rough terrain. The Shadow design reduces the lateral protrusion of the rear derailleur and thus reduces the risk of the rear derailleur getting caught on sticks and stones.
The derailleur pulleys with sealed bearings run very cleanly and guarantee a long service life!
