Organic brake pads with stainless steel pad carrier for SRAM Road Hydraulic Disc Brakes (HRD).
Organic brake pads are easier to modulate than metal brake pads, but offer less braking power and wear out somewhat faster. The noise development in wet conditions and the thermal load on the brake is lower than with metallic pads.
Use organic pads if: the conditions are dry, you want good braking performance right from the start / advantages: better modulation, less noise, shorter run-in time / disadvantages: wear out faster, more weight due to steel backing plate.
