During the R&D process, Pirelli has succeeded in developing an innovative carcass material. Considering the significant performance improvement of this compound, Pirelli has decided to launch a new and improved P ZERO Race TLR. A new carcass solution has been used to work on one of the most important parameters in bicycle tires: rolling resistance. The new SpeedCORE carcass is a thin, airtight layer of rubber compound with aramid particles, which forms the first layer when viewed from the inside. The high flexibility of the rubber compound makes the tire faster and more supple, while the aramid layer ensures better puncture resistance. The carcass is completed by a 120tpi nylon fabric and a puncture-proof aramid breaker. The tread pattern, for which Pirelli's most advanced compound SmartEVO is used, guarantees maximum performance.

SmartEVO Compound:
The new SmartEVO compound uses a blend of three different polymers, each offering specific performance characteristics for an optimal balance between opposing properties such as grip and rolling resistance.
Pirelli draws on more than 100 years of expertise in the development of rubber compounds in motorsport and always drives its products at the highest level in every discipline.
This extensive research and development knowledge has enabled Pirelli to develop a ternary polymer compound with "smart" performance characteristics for bicycle tires as the basis for the excellent properties of the SmartEVO Compound, resulting in better grip on dry and wet surfaces and lower rolling resistance.
