When there is no tailwind, an e-road bike can help you enjoy long rides. The HE 1800 SPLINE was specially developed for the requirements of e-road bikes. The sleeved rim with a wide rim width supports wide tires for an ideal combination of comfort, traction and robustness. The reinforced spokes and hub ensure durability, while the Ratchet LN freehub system ensures reliable power transmission through simultaneous engagement. The result is a robust and durable wheelset that allows the rider to focus on just one thing: enjoying the ride.

The 370 Hybrid SPLINE hub has been redesigned to support higher torques from motors in e-road bikes. A higher system weight means higher braking forces needed to slow down, while the additional power from the battery means higher drive torque when accelerating. To meet these higher requirements, the hub shell was reinforced accordingly. In addition, the freehub body has been updated with our Ratchet LN freehub system. Even our entry-level hybrid wheels can now count on the reliability and simultaneous engagement of the Ratchet system.

Without sacrificing their aerodynamic advantages, the hybrid versions of the new DT aero® hybrid spokes have a reinforced spoke head of 2.15 mm. This is offered as a solution for higher dynamic loads due to the higher system weight, which makes the spoke head a potential weak point. In addition, the increased thickness of the spokes improves their resistance to fatigue that occurs during the rotation of the wheel as each spoke is loaded and unloaded.
