ASSEMBLY
You will need to unscrew these 3 Torx T-25 bolts from the crank. Then remove the spider + chainring combo you currently have there. Clean the splines and put some grease on them. Put the chainring in position (note that there is only one way to mount this chainring on the Sram crank, so you don't need to worry about how to do it). Tighten all 3 bolts to approx. 5-7Nm.
The oval (elliptical) chainring does not affect the work of the clutch mechanism in the rear derailleur. When used in singlespeed mode, no chain tensioner is required. Riding out of the saddle on hills becomes more comfortable. These chainrings also help you recover from knee injuries as pedaling becomes smoother and less strenuous. It's the most advanced oval chainring on the market today, with the most advanced, patent-pending, alternating wide and narrow tooth profile currently manufactured, guaranteeing excellent chain retention for at least 12 months!
