INSTALLATION - Step by step instructions
Please run in the pads to achieve a proper braking experience. This is a CRUCIAL part of any brake pad installation. Neglecting this step will result in sub-par performance.
Remove the wheel and old brake pads.Use a brake cleaner to clean the inside of the caliper and the rotor surface (alternatively use isopropyl alcohol).Gently push each piston back into the caliper body (e.g. with a large screwdriver). Then fit new pads and springsMost important part - While riding in a safe environment at around 20 km/h, apply the brakes evenly until the speed drops to walking pace. Repeat 20 times. Then stop aggressively 10 times.

But graphene is used in ultra-low friction lubricants ...
To understand why graphene is such a good material for friction materials, you need to understand how friction materials are made. A typical organic friction material comprises five classes of components:
a fibrous material of inorganic/organic/metallic fibers (such as copper),a binder (such as thermoset polymer),a "filler" (various soft ceramic powders),one or more lubricants/friction modifiers (such as graphite, copper),one or more abrasives (hard ceramic powders).
The binder, which is typically a phenolic resin that binds all the components together, has a very high coefficient of friction, so it is necessary to add friction modifiers/lubricants to lower the coefficient of friction and allow for brake modulation. Copper is a great example of a material that not only acts as a fiber material, but also as a lubricant and heat conductor to the backplate. Graphene, on the other hand, is many times stronger than copper, conducts heat 3-6 times better and its coefficient of friction is several orders of magnitude lower. By eliminating copper and finding the right balance between graphene and other components, we have created a unique friction material that offers exceptional performance.
