The Zipp ZM2 hubs offer reliable performance for any type of trail. Developed in Germany, the hubs have 12 pawls and 132 engagement points for a more spontaneous start. The improved seal design increases durability. The genius of the ZM2 hubs is how we achieve a faster response. The ZM2 freehub works with 12 pawls in 4 groups of three on a ratchet ring with 33 teeth. The 33 teeth provide fast power engagement with a reliable and consistent response. The 4 groups of 3 pawls are offset. This means that 3 pawls always engage at the same time, which is good for durability. The freewheel of the ZM2 rear hub also has a very high load transfer capacity, which means it is approved for use on e-mountain bikes.
