Vittoria Air-Liner puncture protection size M from 2.25" to 2.5"

The Air-Liner is a high-quality polymer insert that replaces part of the air volume in the tire. This feature, combined with the shape, provides a tunable system that improves your riding performance. The Air-Liner eliminates the traditional compromise between stability and grip and allows you to keep tires stable, grippy and controlled even at low pressures. The Air-Liner has a round cross-section with channels at the top and bottom. The upper channel provides space for the adjustable air chamber, which is located directly under the tread of the tire. On impact, the corner edges of the channel bend first and then become thicker as the tire is compressed. This keeps the tread flexible, which increases traction without compromising impact resistance. The lower channel allows for easy fine-tuning of the air chamber and ensures full compatibility with all valve core types. The round cross-section shape mimics the natural shape of the tire and supports a larger contact area within the sidewalls of the tire carcass. The stability of the tire from side to side is increased, while the tread remains soft and grippy. This improves cornering, climbing ability and braking performance. - Protection: Both the wheel and the tire are protected by the Air-Liner insert. By absorbing shocks from inside the tire, your expensive rim remains protected, while flat spots caused by rim impacts are avoided. Durability: This highly durable polymer material has been tested for an expected life of 2000 hours of normal riding or 1 full hour of downhill emergency riding under a typical rider.
