The system is controlled via a handlebar-mounted bike computer with color LCD (SC-E8000). The display is clearly visible and data is shown at a glance when you're out on the trail. It offers a range of metrics and customization options in conjunction with SHIMANO's E-Tube software (which is now Bluetooth and ANT compatible).
Riders can choose between Eco, Main and High Power modes while riding. The system's Power Walk mode is used on impassable sections. Gear changes are carried out by the mechanical FIREBOLT shift levers or Di2 shifters in combination with the existing mechanical or Di2 components.
