It has a revised battery position to better protect against shocks and ensure crisp shifting and an attractive appearance throughout its life. Hardcore enthusiasts can replace both the skid plates and the two-piece outer link. It also features a tool-free cage assembly that can be both disassembled and upgraded. With a steel inner cage for even more robustness, the rear derailleur was built for real world use. Like all Eagle Transmission rear derailleurs, this one was designed with a new type of derailleur boss-free interface that mounts around the wheel axle and makes direct contact with the cassette.
