Metallic pads have a higher braking performance than organic pads. The pads also wear less. However, they tend to squeal in wet conditions and generate higher thermal loads on the brake. With steel carriers.
Use sintered pads if: you ride downhill for a long time, the conditions are wet, muddy etc. / Advantages: better performance in wet conditions, less wear / Disadvantages: more noise, longer run-in time, not as much braking power at the beginning.
