This makes shifting fast and precise. Because it restricts all movement of the rear derailleur to the horizontal axis, it speeds up the shifting process, reduces the required forces and prevents ghost shifting. The ROLLER BEARING CLUTCH™ keeps the rear derailleur stable and prevents chain slap. Installing and removing the rear wheel is much easier thanks to the CAGE LOCK™. Together with the XX1 shifter, the X-HORIZON™ rear derailleur forms the backbone of X-ACTUATION™ technology, which makes incredibly smooth shifting possible.
