The SRAM RED® 22 chain uses outer plates with strongly molded edges, making the chain shift more easily and run more quietly. Other advantages include the coating of the inner plates and the hard chrome-plated rivets, both of which contribute significantly to the long life of the chain. The HollowPin™ design of SRAM single-speed chains offers smooth, precise shifting and saves weight without compromising on durability.

PowerLock™
SRAM chain manufacturers have developed PowerLock™ as a tool-free, secure and consistent way to connect SRAM 10-speed and 11-speed chains. Although PowerLock™ does not require any special tools for installation, the narrow tolerance range of a 10/11-speed drivetrain means that each PowerLock™ can only be used once.
