The Vivid Ultimate air shock from RockShox with RC2T damping was developed for enduro and downhill bikes with trunnion mounts. It offers steel spring-like behavior, but combines it with versatile adjustability. The RC2T damping allows you to tune the high and low-speed compression and rebound stages. For quick adjustments on the go, use the 2-position lever to switch between Open and Firm. Thanks to TouchDown technology, you get exactly the support you need in every section of travel. The shock is also equipped with adjustable, hydraulic bottom out as standard. Compared to the Super Deluxe Air, the Vivid has a larger air chamber and a stronger chassis, which results in more oil volume, i.e. better heat management, and greater bushing overlap, i.e. lower friction. Built for pure downhill performance. What distinguishes the Vivid from a steel spring shock is the highly tunable air spring with DebonAir technology. Its higher volume not only gives a more linear, more even feel, but also improves sensitivity to small bumps. The air suspension responds sensitively while providing support in the middle of the stroke and comfortable resistance against bottoming out at the end of the stroke. Adding bottomless tokens can create more bottom out resistance, while removing them allows full use of the travel.

The Playmaker. TouchDown technology bypasses the compression damping of the main piston in the first 10% of travel for a smooth response. However, suppressing vibrations is only the beginning. To cope with rough terrain, the next 70% of the travel is damped by a controlled and stable compression stage. In addition to the adaptability of the TouchDown technology, the adjustable hydraulic bottom out (AHBO) allows the suspension to be tuned for the hard hits in the last 20% of the suspension travel.

Over the full distance. The Vivid Ultimate rear shock is a real powerhouse, doubling its reliability and longevity by extending routine service intervals from 50 to 100 hours kilometers. Maxima Plush Dynamic Suspension Lube ensures that the Vivid's performance and smooth ride feel is maintained for longer, even in the harshest conditions - for more time on the trail, not on the rack.

TouchDown RC2T | The position-dependent TouchDown damping system ensures that the rear shock responds slightly at the beginning of the travel, while remaining smooth in the middle and end of the stroke. Each phase of the suspension blends seamlessly into the next, leaving only the exhilarating feeling at the end of the descent. With comfort, confidence and control, the TouchDown damping compensates for everything from slight bumps to long jumps.

Adjustable Hydraulic Bottom Out | The AHBO increases compression damping in the last 20% of travel. However, how much damping the hydraulic bottom out offers is entirely up to the rider. The key to individualization is an adjustable controller with five different options for adjusting the compression. A wider rebound gradation also enables optimum adjustment to the kinematics of different frames.
