The focus of the P ZERO Race is entirely on maximum performance. The design of the tread is identical to that of the tubeless ready version of the same name, as is the rubber compound used. The P ZERO Race is made from the new SmartEVO compound. With the know-how from over 110 years of tradition in motorsport, Pirelli has put together a mixture of three functional polymers with "intelligent" properties that form the basis of the outstanding performance of SmartEVO. Each of the three polymers has specific performance characteristics, and in combination they guarantee the optimum balance of grip and rolling resistance. Completely new to this model, however, is the 120 TPI nylon carcass, designed for use with inner tubes and in compliance with the new ETRTO standards for 19C rims (inner rim width). Performance clincher tire that is at home on the road and fits any modern rim. Not tubeless compatible, not hookless compatible.
