During the R&D process, Pirelli has succeeded in developing an innovative carcass material. Considering the significant performance improvement of this compound, Pirelli has decided to launch a new and improved P ZERO Race TLR. A new carcass solution has been used to work on one of the most important parameters in bicycle tires: rolling resistance. The new SpeedCORE carcass is a thin, airtight layer of rubber compound with aramid particles, which forms the first layer when viewed from the inside. The high flexibility of the rubber compound makes the tire faster and more supple, while the aramid layer ensures better puncture resistance. The carcass is completed by a 120tpi nylon fabric and a puncture-proof aramid breaker. The tread pattern, for which Pirelli's most advanced compound SmartEVO is used, guarantees maximum performance.

Pirelli P ZERO ™ Race TLR combines the advantages of tubeless technology in an all-rounder bike tire for intensive training sessions and races. The TechWALL + Road carcass improves reliability against punctures without weighing down the rubber, while the special SmartEVO Compound compound further improves grip performance on dry and wet asphalt compared to our previous bike compounds. The P ZERO ™ Race TLR tread is an evolution of the P ZERO ™ Velo design: several periods of research and development on the roads of the World Tour have resulted in a new design that improves the bike's behavior in all weather conditions. SmartEVO Compound is a new compound that further enhances the excellent performance of previous compounds for road cycling. Motorsport experience and suggestions from World Tour athletes have resulted in our best ever cycling compound. The new tubeless carcass is designed to resist punctures without compromising the weight of the tire. A strong yet flexible structure of multiple cut-resistant layers.

SmartEVO rubber compound
The new SmartEVO compound uses a blend of 3 different polymers, each of which contributes a specific property to the tire's handling characteristics. In this way, a balance can be achieved between properties that are actually contradictory. The new SmartEVO compound therefore has perfect grip in both dry and wet conditions, coupled with extremely low rolling resistance.

Speedcore carcass
The Speedcore carcass consists of a thin, airtight layer and a rubber compound made of aramid particles that covers the inner part of the tire. The extremely flexible rubber compound makes the tire smoother and rolls faster. The aramid particles increase the all-round puncture protection compared to the previous version. The carcass is completed by a nylon fabric with 120 TPI and aramid breaker puncture protection.
