Probably the most ridden and most successful downhill tire in the world in recent years. The Minion DHF combines proven elements such as beveled lugs for low rolling resistance and smooth running with longitudinally slotted lugs for more grippy edges. This gives it excellent directional stability and precise cornering behavior.

Our new EXO+ construction combines two of our best puncture protection materials: SilkShield and EXO. The SilkShield layer surrounds the entire tire from bead to bead, the EXO layer is mounted on the sidewalls. Together, this results in EXO+ with the following advantages: 27 % better puncture protection on the tread* 51 % more stable sidewall* 28 % more puncture protection*, * compared to our proven stable EXO carcass. Tires with EXO+ Protection are built for aggressive trail riding and enduro racing, and are especially designed for the higher torque and weight of E-MTBs.

Wide Trail Casing (WT)
This special carcass construction optimizes the tread layout and tire shape on today's wider rims. Traditional tires are developed for narrow rims and have too angular a shape on wide rims, resulting in less than optimal performance.
WT tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an inner dimension between 30 and 40 mm.

Tubeless Ready (TR)
Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no inner tube, the risk of punctures is also reduced. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other "tubeless ready" tires. The bead of our TR tires is completely covered with a layer of rubber, just like a real UST tubeless tire. This means that tubeless mounting is successful on all rims with standard dimensions right from the first inflation and with little liquid.
Like tires from other manufacturers, "normal" MAXXIS MTB tires can also be mounted tubeless with sealant, as the carcass fabric is very tight.
However, only the new MAXXIS TR models are officially approved for tubeless mounting and guaranteed by MAXXIS. Tubeless mounting of other models is at your own risk.

EXO+ Protection
The improved EXO+ carcass is based on a robust 60TPI carcass, which is covered with abrasion-resistant rubber. In addition, the tire sidewalls have a reinforced and rubberized EXO puncture protection layer, while a short butyl insert is used above the tire bead. Tires with EXO+ protection are designed for aggressive trail riding and enduro racing and are ideal for the higher torque and weight associated with E-MTBs.

3C MaxxTerra
3C MaxxTerra is the optimal three-ply rubber compound for our Enduro and Freeride tires. This compound is characterized by smooth uphill performance and excellent downhill grip as well as a long service life.
