The rounder and harder the balls, the less susceptible they are to external dust and dirt deposits, which ensures consistent and long-lasting performance. Ceramic is also not subject to the effects of corrosion. These physical properties ensure a service life 4 to 6 times longer than a standard steel bearing. The reduction of friction is the best known and most significant advantage of ceramic bearings. The perfect roundness of the balls, their hardness, coupled with the optimization of the greases used with this material, makes it possible to reduce friction forces by 18%.

The perfect integration of the carbon leaf spring makes the Blade the most aerodynamic pedal on the market. 2 channels on the sides additionally support the optimal air flow. Compared to the previous version, Look has optimized the contact surface of the pedal plate on the stainless steel surface of the pedal. With a contact area of 700 mm², the contact area has almost doubled. Despite this, the weight of the pedals has been reduced further thanks to a slimmer axle line and a lower step height. The double seals and extensive material tests on the axles, which far exceed the applicable standards, guarantee a long service life.
