EVOL
The air chamber called EVOL with increased volume for the negative air chamber. EVOL is short for "Extra Volume". This adjustment should also have a positive effect on the suspension quality by reducing the breakaway torque of the shock absorber. This leads to better traction and softer response. The Fox Float SL damper should make the rear end significantly more efficient.

Metric installation dimensions
By introducing metric installation dimensions, the shock manufacturers want to achieve a standardization of standards. In future, there should no longer be so many different variants. In addition, the aim is to achieve a similar linear gradation of the various length and stroke dimensions as is already the case with suspension forks. Incidentally, these dampers offer more space inside, as the hole spacing is usually slightly larger with the same stroke length. This optimizes function and reliability.
