The Easton EA70 AX handlebars made of aluminum, a flare of 16° and a weight of only 290g (42cm width) are the top of the range for gravel use. Other handlebars with the tried and tested MCD shape (Maximum Contact Form) only have an outward curvature of 4°. So why 16° here? Because Easton has come to the conclusion, based on rider feedback and extensive testing, that 16° creates a perfect balance between maximum curvature and efficient access to shift/brake levers on the upper and lower bars.
