The developers at Continental have revolutionized the cycling scene with their unique tread compound, which is only produced in Germany. The legendary BlackChili compound has provided a lasting answer to the eternal question of grip versus rolling resistance. The regular test victories prove the measurable and noticeable advantages for riders in the laboratory and on the road. The latest polymers as well as specially developed carbon black particles and fillers guarantee unique performance.

PureGrip - the outstanding compound technology
On the basis of the activated silica compound, a mixture technology in the performance segment was systematically developed. After intensive development work, the Korbach research and development department came up with a new compound technology with outstanding grip and cross-country properties. The new rubber compound with the self-explanatory name "PureGrip" is positioned behind the BlackChili compound and is used in performance products in the race and mountain bike segments. Here it ensures long-lasting traction and high mileage for Continental tires, which are manufactured exclusively in the production facility in Hefei (Asia).
