The name Continental Grand Prix has become a brand of its own in cycling. The Grand Prix is THE classic tire and still stands for quality and performance today. A claim that is also reflected in the new Grand Prix. Like its predecessor, the new generation aims to set new standards. The new Grand Prix leads the trend towards wide tires in cycling: wider tires roll more easily, have a higher mileage and offer more comfort and grip.

Another innovation that Continental will introduce with the Grand Prix is the Poly X Breaker. Polyester is successfully used in car tires as a durable and low rolling resistance reinforcement. We have transferred the material to bicycle tires. As a fine and tightly woven puncture protection belt, the Poly X Breaker lies directly under the tread strip and protects the carcass from punctures and cuts. Finally, like every top Continental tire, the new Grand Prix is equipped with the Black Chili Compound and is manufactured by hand in Korbach, Hesse.
