The Solid Protector of the Bluegrass brand is reinforced with D3O® inserts in addition to the usual padding. D3O® material remains flexible in normal condition - but when force is applied, the material hardens in a fraction of a second and dissipates the impact force to the outside. Thanks to the zipper, the protector can be put on very easily and the integrated silicone inserts mean that there is no slipping. In particularly vulnerable areas, the protector is made of Kevlar.
