TRICKSTUFF Brake Pads 840 POWER for SRAM Guide RE | Avid Code from 2011.
Trickstuff brake pads are made from organic materials and bonded with synthetic resin. Organic pads have the great advantage of being a thermal insulator, which protects the seals in the caliper from overheating. To improve braking characteristics and reduce abrasion, the pad contains small amounts of metal particles. Despite this, the pads are mostly organic, or you could say they are semi-metallic. This mixture gives optimal dry and wet braking values and also keeps the wear of the disc low.
Thanks to the 2 mm steel backing plate, there is minimal heat transfer into the caliper, while at the same time increasing the amount of friction material to get back to the standard overall thickness of about 3.9 - 4.0 mm. This means longer service life, excellent fading stability, even higher dry and wet friction values with extremely low wear.
The Power pad compounds have the highest braking force and temperature resistance among the organic Trickstuff brake pads. Compared to the Trickstuff standard pads, however, they wear slightly faster.
