Gravel bikes are becoming increasingly popular among cyclists. The advantages are obvious. They have a more comfortable geometry than road bikes, are excellent off-road and are suitable for longer journeys. However, conventional road bike components reach their limits on these bikes. Shimano has therefore developed its own groupsets especially for this type of bike.
The FC-RX600 offers you high efficiency for riding on mixed terrain. Its gravel-specific chainring combination with 46-30 teeth covers a wide speed range. The 2x11 setup also allows you to ride a closer-ratio cassette so that you can always ride at your comfortable frequency. The chainline has been shifted outwards to create space in the frame for wider tires. Nevertheless, the Q-factor has remained pleasingly narrow at 151 millimetres.
