The sound of silence
From the outside, it looks like any other chain. But it has it all. Its completely new design offers an overall gear ratio that was previously only possible with two chainrings. This chain is the main reason why SRAM's Eagle™ is so smooth-running, precise, durable and quiet. Its links are smoothed, without sharp corners and edges. The advantage of this: velvety smooth, almost silent running and a longer service life for the chainring and cassette. Thanks to the smoother chain plates, the riveting is more even and the tensile strength is higher. The HARD CHROME™ technology increases the running performance of the chain.

Flow Link:
The ultra-smooth inner plates of the chain are completely free of edges. This reduces friction on the cassette and chainring. The result: low-noise performance and a longer component service life. The chain design enables a narrower profile. This makes the chain more torsion-resistant. Thanks to its smooth outer plates, the riveting is more even and the tensile strength is higher.
Hard Chrome™:
The chain has four times the (wear) strength of other SRAM chains. This is due to the new machining process for the inner links and rollers. The push-pin strength and the overall strength correspond to the current SRAM chains. This chain lasts longer and is extremely strong.
PowerLock™
SRAM chain manufacturers developed PowerLock™ as a tool-free, secure and consistent way to connect SRAM chains. Although PowerLock™ does not require any special tools for installation, the narrow tolerance range of a 10/11-speed drivetrain means that each PowerLock™ can only be used once.
X-Sync™:
X-Sync™ 1x chainrings from SRAM ensure maximum performance and durability. The long SRAM X-Sync™ tooth edges grip the chain earlier than traditional triangular-shaped teeth. The sharp and narrow tooth profile as well as the rounded angled edges support the chain guide: In order to offer the best possible performance even in muddy terrain, the X-Sync™ chainrings have recesses to remove dirt and mud for the inner chain links and rollers. Made in Germany, X-Sync™ chainrings are a key component of SRAM's 1x drivetrain.
