X01 Eagle AXS rear derailleur
The Eagle AXS™ rear derailleur is more than a mechanical rear derailleur with battery and motor - it is the center of the entire AXS™ system. Cleanly adjusted, it shifts even quieter, more precise and thus ensures even better durability. Unlike the mechanical version, the AXS™ rear derailleur has a shorter cage, which provides 10 mm more ground clearance and more chain wrap on the cassette. Shifts are implemented with just one push of a button abruptly, even under the chain load of World Cup athletes.
The Eagle AXS™ rear derailleur is so intelligent that it protects itself from external impact with its incredibly resilient Overload Clutch. In the event of a blow, the motor gear disengages and the rear derailleur can move freely. Afterwards, it immediately returns to its previous position for a seamless riding experience. The Overload Clutch serves to protect the rear derailleur's shifting motor. In addition, it also protects the rear derailleur and derailleur hanger from damage. A very helpful side effect.
