The SRAM PC-1170 chain uses outer plates with strongly molded edges - so the chain shifts more easily and runs more quietly. Hard chrome-plated rivets contribute to the long life of the chain.

PowerLock™
SRAM chain manufacturers have developed PowerLock™ as a tool-free, secure and consistent way to connect SRAM 10-speed and 11-speed chains. Although PowerLock™ does not require any special tools for installation, the narrow tolerance range of a 10-/11-speed drivetrain means that each PowerLock™ can only be used once.
